All of our ski goggles are available with orange/pink CAT. 1 bad weather lenses. These consist of a neutral (transparent) base lens with a colorful (rainbow-colored) coating on the outside. This coating of metal oxides gives the lens a subtle color when looking through it, which works well in many low-light conditions. However, it does not have a contrast-enhancing effect. We have had this lens in our range for almost 10 years and it was defined and developed in collaboration with a group of state ski instructors to cover “most” situations on the mountain. In special situations on the mountain, however, a stronger tint can be advantageous. Therefore, you could try the “purple-green bad weather lens.” This lens is very new to our range and is only available on the “NOVA” and the SOLAR model. With this lens, the base tint is not clear but purple, and a green coating is applied to the outside. The lens is therefore slightly darker, but can provide better contrast in certain weather conditions (very flat light). However, it must be said that light conditions on the mountain can change almost every minute (angle of incidence, cloud cover/fog density, reflections, etc.), and it is unlikely that any lens will be able to cover all situations.
